Aloha's Manager

Susan S., CVPM. Born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She graduated from Auburn University and  has worked at Aloha since August 2004. She owned and operated Melbourne Animal Hospital with her husband, Dr. Mike Stitzel from 1988 -1999. She has two daughters attending the University of Florida. She loves her dog Roxie and her two cats, Fran and Louie. Susan received her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification in 2008.



Kelly grew up in Orlando, FL.  She has worked in the Veterinary field since 1994. She worked her way from receptionist  to practice manager.  Kelly moved to Brevard County in 2006, she joined the Lowes team as their inventory Manager, where she stayed until 2010. Kelly is now Aloha's Inventory Manager.  She is in charge of keeping our hospital supplied as well as bringing new veterinary products to our pharmacy.  Kelly is married and has two children. She and her family enjoy the beach, waterparks and camping. They love skiing, swimming and bike riding as well as playing with their cat and bird.


Susan M., grew up in Kansas and moved to Florida after graduating from Kansas State University in 1997. She started working at Aloha in August 2000. Susan enjoys decorating her house, baking, gardening and spending time with her husband, two boys, 3 dogs and all her friends.



Valerie  started working at Aloha in August, 1992. She is  a lifelong resident of Cocoa Beach. Valerie received an elementary education degree  from UCF, and is bilingual (English/French).  When she began working at Aloha, she loved her work here so much that she chose to continue in the veterinary field. She has an ark of animals including dogs, cats, ferrets, a rabbit, and three children! She enjoys spending time with her family & friends, the beach, sailing, camping cross country and all of her animals!


 



Cecilia is a graduate from the University of Chile.  She moved to the USA in 1984  and has been working at Aloha since 1991. She is bilingual (Spanish/English).  Her areas of interest are veterinary dentistry, emergency and animal critical care. She enjoys keeping up with the Aloha website and networking for "Aloha Adoptions."  She and her husband have two teenagers, two cats and a Beagle "Olivia."

 

Emily is a dedicated CVT, she graduated from BCC in 2004. Her areas of interest are cytology, critical care and anesthesiology. She also instructs BCC students that are assigned to our hospital for practical experience. Emily is a busy, happy mom to her four year old son. They love their recently adopted rescue dog "Jackson". Emily is a kind, compassionate person always ready with a smile and hug for her fellow Aloha family members.

Emily,CVT


Melody is a U.S Army veteran. She has been working at Aloha since 1994. Melody is  our Senior Veterinary Technician.  Her passion & expertise at Aloha is as  Surgical Assistant, Laboratory Technician, cytology and cardiology. She is currently pursuing a  CVT degree. Melody enjoys scuba diving, reading reference books, and making silk flowers arrangements. Her dream vacation is to return to Italy where she was stationed while serving in the Military and fell in love with their culture. Melody has a dog, "Snickers" and has owned many ferrets through the years and has vast knowledge on this subject. She enjoys very much the time she spends with her  grandchildren.



Pauline, CVDT
Pauline is originally from Washington State. She  is a Certified Veterinary Dental Technician and has worked in the veterinary field for the past 15 years, working at Aloha since 1998.
Pauline has a Maltese (her favorite breed) "Mia"  and a Quaker parrot "Edward". She is a dedicated mother & wife. She enjoys digital scrap booking, photography, traveling and volunteering at her church.



Adoption advocate

Linda is a Rhode Island native. Linda has been married to Dr Pepen for 30 years, they have two sons and naturally a variety of adopted rescued pets. She is a most dedicated animal adoption advocate, working closely with the South Animal care Center of Brevard  to find foster and permanent homes for abandoned, injured and reliquished pets, vaccinating & spaying and neutering.  Linda  holds regular  pet adoption events at Aloha each month where many animals find permanent homes .




Groomer

Catrina has a Medical Assistant degree from FMU.  She has  worked at Aloha since 1998 as a Veterinary Assistant and as a groomer since 2001. When Catrina is grooming, she  takes pride in being thorough, making sure the pet is "just right", and bringing any obvious medical conditions to our veterinarians attention. She has two dogs "Akita Bear" and "Domino" and a cat "Mr. Wiskers". She loves to take her three kids and dogs to the dog park and to the beach with her family.



Grace is a  native Floridian from Ocala, she started working at Aloha right after our worst Hurricane season in 2004. She was a dance instructor. In her studio, she taught ballet, tap, jazz, clogging & lyrical dance. Grace receives our clients with her beautiful smile and cheerful disposition. Grace has two boxers "Chloe" and "Rocky", a Great Pyrenees "Bailey"and a kitty "Gabriel". Grace has two adorable kids. She is happily married to Bill and they are expecting a new member to the family!  Grace loves spending time with her family, and always looks forward to playing at the park or beach with her kids.



Nina is a New York native living in Florida for the past 17 years. She has worked in several veterinary clinics over the years in Florida as well as in New York. She had patiently waited for a position to open up at Aloha since moving here. Finally in 2004 she became part of the Aloha team and has no plans on leaving (ever!) Nina loves all animals, furry, feathered or scaly. She currently has rescued 3 dogs (one who is 3-legged, 2 cats (another who is 3-legged) as well as 2 feathered friends. Relaxing usually includes sun worshipping, her pool and working in her yard. Recently, Nina became the proud Grandma of her first grandchild ♥Owen♥.



Groomer


Mary  is our Senior Groomer working at Aloha since 1993. She was born in New York, but has lived in Melbourne most of her life. She is a very strict vegetarian. She and her husband have two very active girls, a dog "Daisy" and a Quaker. Mary and  her family love the beach, the sun, their pool and working in their beautiful tropical backyard that they enjoy with friends.



Heather is originally from Sycamore,IL.  She started working at Aloha in 2002 as a veterinary assistant and has worked in all areas of the Hospital.  She has two dogs "Onyx" & "Red dog" and a cat "Simon".  She loves the outdoors, camping, gardening and enjoys 4-wheeling with her husband and friends. Heather has recently begun running and is proud of completing her very first half marathon this year.  Being from Illinois, she is a loyal Chicago Bears fan (of course!).  Heather and her husband have a beautiful daughter. 


Jeff, CVT
Jeff came to Florida in 2007 from Pennsylvania. He graduated in 2004, from the Veterinary Technical Institute of Pittsburgh. He is interested in veterinary anesthesiology, emergency & critical care and animal behavior. He likes to work at Aloha for the family setting it provides and the compassionate care to our client's pets. Jeff loves to watch sports, especially hockey and football (he is a hardcore Steeler's fan). He also enjoys reading world news magazines and watching Sci-Fi movies. He has two dogs "Jade" and "Hannah" plus an iguana "Izzy".



Megan is a Michigan native who moved to Florida in 1995.  In 2008 Megan joined the Aloha family when a position opened up and her good friend, Nina, told her to grab it before it was gone.  Megan is  a licensed cosmetologist, but because of her love for animals, she found this to be a much more fulfilling path. A recent newlywed, she and her husband, both eagerly await football season.  Megan, true to her Michigan roots, is a loyal and passionate "Michigan" fan.  Her husband, being from Wisconsin, is loyal to his team, the "Badgers". This makes for a very serious (but playful)  rivalry and leaves the house divided for several months!  She recently rescued a shelter dog, "Izzie", an adorable Yorkie puppy "Coco" who was born blind and "Grolsh", a stray cat who adopted her!



Laurissa graduated in 2005 from Florida Tech with a degree in Clinical Psychology. Before coming to Aloha, she coached girls basketball and taught health at Florida Air Academy for two years. Laurissa's playful personality is a perfect fit for the Aloha team which she joined in 2007. She played basketball for the Florida Tech and now is an assistant coach there. Laurissa and her husband  are expecting the arrival of their first child this August. She has two handsome cats "Tyson" and "Mikey".



Behavior Counselor

Paula joined Aloha a year after the Hospital was opened in 1988. She is our Animal Behavior Counselor. She is also one of Aloha's most dedicated animal foster mothers almost never turning away orphaned days old  kittens.  In the past, Paula owned a pet store and most recently a  bakery shop owner. She is a master baker specializing in elegent wedding cakes and whimsical childrens cakes. She is always trying to make the staff fat with her amazing brownies, cakes and muffins!  She loves Irish setters & horses and is probably Elton John's #1 fan, never missing his concerts when they come to town.  She has two dogs "Lilly & Reggie", five cats and a Koi fish, but what she loves the most is being a Grandma to Ethan!




Groomer

Ingrid
is from Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. She has worked at Aloha since 2002 as a groomer and veterinary assistant. She is bilingual (Spanish/English).  Ingrid enjoys the gym, the beach or visiting the Brevard Zoo with her son & husband.  She  is a runner, completing half a Marathon in 2010.



Kim has been part of the Aloha team since 2003. She is a Veterinary Assistant and a groomer. She is a gifted foster mom to many, many little ones. She never turns away an orphaned or injured animal, be them cats, dogs, squirrels, and especially baby birds (waking up every 2 hours at times to feed them! Now that's dedication!) It is sometimes very hard for her to give them up to be adopted. Kim is a very talented artist. Her drawings, nail and face paintings are incredible and she designed our beautiful tropical design for our product bags. She enjoys watercolor and acrylic painting. Her creative flair spills over to her grooming skills, creating designer cuts and funky custom colors (with the owner's consent, of course!) She and her daughter are very creative and crafty. Kim & her family have two conures and three cats.



Dr Perez & Keila

Keila is the youngest daughter of Dr. Perez and has worked at Aloha as a Veterinary Assitant for 3 years. She recently  graduated from Satellite Beach High School and is planning to attend BCC next year. Keila is bilingual (Spanish/English) and makes a pretty mean salsa!  She enjoys spending time with  her family, her friends, shopping, playing with her new rescued kitten,  "Pie", and sleeping as late as possible when not working or in school!




Jill & Penny

Jill moved to Florida from Wrightsville Beach, NC in May 2011. She received a B.A. degree in Spanish and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2001. She spent a few years working in the surf and skateboard industry before becoming a receptionist at an Animal Hospital in Wilmington. Jill has a Boxer named Penny who lives with her, her boyfriend and his dog, Tyson in Indialantic. Jill enjoys football, paddleboarding, and soaking up in the sun.
