Can you tell if your bird is malnourished?

Malnutrition involves all of the systems of the body and may be seen as: abnormalities in the body weight and shape; unusual appearance of feathers, nails, beak or skin; undesirable behavior; and disturbances in the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, neurologic and urogenital systems. Nutritional deficiencies appear to accelerate the aging process of birds, primarily through the loss of moisture and tissue elasticity.

At Aloha Pet and Bird Hospital we highly recommend Harrison's diet for birds. It a very complete and balanced organic formula that will provide your pet bird with all the nutrients they need.
