Feather or toenail Bleeding

If the bird is bleeding from a broken feather (blood feather), toenail, or beak tip, using cotton or gauze soaked in cold water, put firm pressure on the area. You also can try some flour or cornstarch to stop the bleeding. Wrap the bird gently in a towel, to prevent it from flapping its wings, place in a covered cage or carrier to keep it warm and bring it to Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital as soon as possible. When a bird is bleeding, consider it an emergency!
